Fair Oaks incorporated with about 20 residents in 1966

Fair Oaks was incorporated in 1966 as a 200-acre community with about twenty residents. The Oklahoma Historical Society says residents formed the town to protect against future annexation by Tulsa. That small original footprint is a useful contrast with the much larger area the town later took in. A future survey crew checking municipal boundary records could use sleeper trailers for overnight lodging, after securing access to any private parcels.

Fair Oaks expanded by 15,000 acres in 1969

Three years after incorporation, Fair Oaks annexed about 15,000 acres, most of it within the L. S. Robson ranch across Wagoner and Rogers counties. The Oklahoma Historical Society notes that the expansion drew criticism because of its size. The town’s limits therefore became much larger than its residential base; the source does not say the whole tract was built up. If a future land survey were commissioned in the area, portable restroom trailers could support a small field team without implying development across the ranch.

Fair Oaks grew as a Tulsa bedroom community in the 1980s

Fair Oaks counted 23 residents in 1970, 324 in 1980 and 1,133 in 1990, according to the Oklahoma Historical Society. The entry describes the town as becoming a bedroom community for Tulsa as the metro area grew. These numbers record residential change; they do not show how many people commuted on a particular road. A future utility contractor supporting a regional project could consider remote crew lodging facilities for temporary crew housing near the corridor.

Tulsa’s annexation movement involved 4,700 acres of the Robson ranch

The Oklahoma Historical Society’s account says the Robson family later initiated a movement that led Tulsa to annex 4,700 acres remaining from the ranch; 2,900 acres were planned for industrial development. This is a historical description of a land action and a plan, not a statement about present land use or the current boundary. A present-day survey or utility crew would need current parcel and service records before placing portable shower trailers anywhere in the area.

Fair Oaks’ census count fell to 122 in 2000

After its 1990 population peak, Fair Oaks recorded 122 residents in 2000 and 103 in 2010. The figures in the Oklahoma Historical Society entry mark a sharp reversal from the prior decade’s suburban growth, though they do not identify why the count changed. That distinction matters in a town with an unusually broad historic boundary. For a future community event, portable restroom trailers could be planned from the organizer’s current attendance estimate rather than old census totals.

The 2020 Census listed 73 people and 34 homes in Fair Oaks

The U.S. Census Bureau’s 2020 place table lists Fair Oaks at 73 residents and 34 housing units. The Oklahoma Historical Society entry reports 74 people for 2020, a one-person discrepancy; this article uses the Census Bureau’s table as the primary count and preserves the difference rather than smoothing it away. A small civic gathering could use portable restroom trailers if temporary public restrooms were needed, but household totals do not predict attendance.

Tulsa’s 2020 land-use record cited Fair Oaks’ 1998 plan

A Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission record from 2020 references a 1998 Town of Fair Oaks comprehensive plan while reviewing a separate Tulsa-area land-use case. The minutes also describe a nearby tract with a strip-mining history and the need for mitigation as it was redeveloped. That is planning context around Fair Oaks, not evidence that the town directed the Tulsa case. If an authorized environmental survey took place in the corridor, portable handwashing stations could support field staff at a temporary site.

A 2022 federal grant proposal named Fair Oaks along US-412

Oklahoma’s 2022 US-412 Priority Improvements narrative included Fair Oaks among places along a proposed 26-mile corridor project. The application describes a regional transportation plan; it is not proof that construction was awarded, started or completed in Fair Oaks. For crews working on a future phase, portable shower trailers could be considered for temporary shower access near the job, after the contractor confirms the work location and utilities.

A Tulsa planning packet preserved a 2001 Fair Oaks annexation action

A Tulsa planning packet circulated in 2020 reproduces a request for action dated October 26, 2001 and a November 8 ordinance approval relating to annexation of the Town of Fair Oaks. It is a record of a formal process, not a complete account of later legal proceedings or today’s municipal status. The town’s boundary history is complex enough that a current work crew should check official parcel and jurisdiction records before siting combined shower and restroom trailers.

A 2023 Tulsa water grant involved Fair Oaks Ranch east of the city

In 2023 the Oklahoma Water Resources Board announced a $50 million grant for City of Tulsa system improvements connected to development at Fair Oaks Ranch, also known as Robson Ranch, east of Tulsa. The announcement concerns Tulsa and a large surrounding development area; it does not identify a Town of Fair Oaks municipal project. A contractor supporting future regional infrastructure could consider remote man-camp facilities for a crew base near the work, subject to the actual job location and utilities.
