CASA joined Antlers’ Deer Festival with a children’s fundraiser

At Antlers’ Deer Festival on September 29, 2018, Little Dixie CASA ran a Cutest Kids in Camo fundraiser. For organizers planning a family festival, the route to a restroom trailer belongs in the site plan alongside food, exhibits and public gathering areas. It should work for an adult accompanying a child throughout the event, with extra capacity judged against the bathrooms already available.

The CASA activity gave the festival a specific local beneficiary. Children from infancy through age ten entered four age categories, CASA volunteers judged, and Antlers Masonic Lodge No. 39 sponsored the contest. The agency’s newsletter says proceeds supported the CASA program’s operations.

A new Antlers clinic paired on-site staff with virtual providers

The Antlers Community Health Clinic was scheduled to open April 30, 2025 at 506 North Highway 271, Suite C. Choctaw Nation and OSU Medicine designed it around a small on-site staff and providers connecting virtually, with same-day care available to tribal and non-tribal patients.

For a future expansion at a small clinic, contractor restroom facilities can keep contractor bathroom access outside the patient area while work proceeds. A temporary unit needs its own delivery and service path rather than using the clinic entrance. The April opening announcement describes a local point of access to care; it supplies no evidence of a bathroom shortage or rental deployment.

A June 2016 groundbreaking launched Antlers’ wellness-center project

Choctaw Nation broke ground for an Antlers Wellness Center on June 8, 2016. The Nation’s newspaper described a $2.5 million investment near the community center on Southwest O Street. A project adding a new fitness building also needs basic facilities for the people constructing it: construction bathroom trailers can serve the contractor compound before the permanent building is ready. Keeping that service point outside the neighboring community center’s entrance helps separate construction traffic from visitors. The July 2016 report documents the groundbreaking and building program, rather than the eventual opening date.

The Antlers Travel Plaza opened in October 2015

A new Travel Plaza and Casino Too opened in Antlers on October 23, 2015. Biskinik reported a 10,254-square-foot facility with fuel, dining and gaming, a Choctaw Country welcome center and space for locally made art.

An opening program can draw people to the forecourt as well as the new building. If the event footprint exceeds the indoor facility plan, event restroom facilities can serve that outdoor gathering from a location clear of fuel and vehicle movements.

The Nation described the opening as its first Travel Plaza and Casino Too in Pushmataha County, with 39 jobs expected. Those are the project’s reported opening details, not a current staffing count.

A 2025 grant supported rehabilitation of Runway 17/35

Antlers Municipal Airport’s runway rehabilitation received grant approval on July 9, 2025, according to the state’s airport construction program. The approved program listed a $255,380 total, with crack sealing and a seal coat intended to address weathering and pavement cracking.

A portable restroom trailer at the airside contractor base would give workers bathroom access without routing them through passenger or operational areas. Its delivery and servicing would need to fit the airport’s access plan.

The state document identifies the treatment and financing. It does not establish a completed runway reopening date or a specific closure period.

A remodeled Main Street building brought driver testing to Antlers

Service Oklahoma announced its new Antlers licensing and exam location in February 2024, crediting county officials with obtaining and remodeling the building at 1601 West Main Street. The agency said residents previously traveled about an hour to other testing offices. During a public-office conversion, temporary bathroom facilities can provide contractor bathrooms while interior work is under way, before customers begin using the building. This project’s outcome was a local office offering written and driving tests, with a March 1 ribbon cutting scheduled in the agency’s opening release.

An independent elder community broke ground near Southwest Second Street

Ten homes and a common building formed the first planned phase of Choctaw Nation’s independent elder community in Antlers. A March 2, 2017 groundbreaking brought tribal members together with city, county and state representatives at the Southwest Second Street site near O Street.

As those homes took shape, a contractor’s overnight arrangements would determine whether mobile laundry facilities had a useful role for ordinary work clothes and bedding. Laundry for the builders belongs with their accommodation plan, rather than depending on the future residents’ homes. The April newspaper report also identified room for another ten houses, while treating December 2017 as an expected completion date.

A 2018 monument honored the Choctaw Code Talkers in Antlers

A monument near the Choctaw Travel Plaza in Antlers was dedicated on July 6, 2018, the centennial year of the Choctaw Code Talkers’ World War I service. Choctaw Nation’s later account identifies it as the first of two monuments along the designated highway between Antlers and Broken Bow. For an outdoor commemorative gathering at a roadside site, event bathroom facilities should be placed where attendees can reach them without crossing active vehicle lanes. The ceremony’s purpose and its permanent setting can remain central while the temporary visitor arrangements stay practical and unobtrusive.

Project planning questions

Antlers workforce facility FAQs.

Can I plan an Antlers rental before the final crew count is known?

Send your estimated headcount, dates and sleeping arrangements. We can discuss the facilities you expect to need, then review the final crew plan and available units before booking.

What if the job and accommodation sites are different?

Give us both addresses. Bathroom facilities at the worksite and overnight sleeping, shower or laundry facilities at the accommodation site may need separate delivery and service arrangements.

What information helps review a rural site outside Antlers?

Send the actual entrance location, photos of the access road and placement area, and details of the utility connections available. Let us know about gates, tight turns or restrictions on service vehicles.

The 1945 tornado left a third of Antlers devastated

The April 12, 1945 tornado crossed Antlers from southwest to northeast, devastating about a third of the town. The National Weather Service’s historical account records 379 homes and 254 buildings destroyed, with roughly 1,500 people made homeless.

Recovery on that scale involves both rebuilding and the daily lives of people without their normal facilities. In a modern response, shower and restroom combination trailers can bring washing and toilets to a designated support site while permanent services are restored. The historical losses explain the need to plan those basics alongside shelter; they do not establish which temporary facilities were supplied in 1945.

November 1996 flooding closed roads in and around Antlers

Numerous Antlers roads closed under high water on the evening of November 6, 1996. By the following morning, flooding north-northeast of town had washed a vehicle from a county road into a creek, killing the driver. The National Weather Service reported about six inches of rain in the area. A road-recovery crew needs a base reached by an open, verified route; portable restroom facilities can serve that location once access is available. The sequence in the official record is a reminder that an in-town road closure and a dangerous rural crossing can be parts of the same flood, requiring careful routing for every support vehicle.
