A tournament gym fitted between Broadway and the alley

Allen’s school gym project had a demanding boundary: just 140 feet from East Broadway to the service alley. ARC Architecture’s July 2019 account explains how it fitted a regulation court and seating for 1,200 into that downtown plot. Locker rooms and training areas sat beneath a U-shaped arrangement of bleachers, while a mezzanine added usable space above the lobby.

The resulting design provided 25,000 square feet of usable area on a 20,000-square-foot footprint. ARC described construction as underway at publication. Outside a similarly tight building project, a contractor restroom trailer needs its place on the staging drawing too. Taking over the delivery alley to solve a bathroom problem would simply create a different access problem for the crew.

The grant followed Allen’s pump and hydrant work

Replacing a sewer pump at Allen’s main lift station involves the same practical question as any work on an operating utility: where can the crew use a bathroom while the equipment is apart? A contractor restroom trailer can serve a separate staging area, with wastewater arrangements that do not depend on the station being repaired.

The town’s recent improvements included that sewer pump, water-well pumps, a fire hydrant and water meters. On January 20, 2026, the Oklahoma Water Resources Board approved an ARPA grant of $89,443.37 to reimburse eligible costs. The release describes investments already made, rather than announcing that all of those replacements were still waiting to begin.

A meter project with a boundary drawn around town

Allen’s fiscal 2020 REAP award had a very specific service area. SODA’s project list traced it from SH-48 and SH-1 west to Camper Road, south to CR 1480, east to SH-48 and back north to the starting junction. The town, applying on behalf of Allen Public Works Authority, received $51,027 toward a $64,672 project to replace old meters with AMR meters and obtain related materials and equipment.

For an installation crew moving between those addresses, handwashing stations would make most sense at a shared equipment yard. A fixed service stop avoids towing facilities from meter to meter while still giving workers somewhere to wash before breaks. The published list records an award for the 2020 program; it does not give a completion date.

Allen–Francis Road stayed in the plan as its estimate rose

A road job stretching 3.9 miles needs a crew base that can remain useful as paving moves along the route. On Allen–Francis Road, a restroom trailer could sit with the contractor’s parked equipment, away from the section carrying traffic. That is a more workable location than putting another service vehicle inside the paving operation.

Pontotoc County commissioners approved the resurfacing project in their six-year CIRB plan on March 21, 2022. By the May 6, 2024 meeting, the estimate had increased from $1.7 million to $2.6 million. Circuit Engineering District 4 representative Daniel Clements said the project would go forward and needed a September letting followed by an October award. Those were planning targets recorded in the meeting, rather than evidence that a contract had already been awarded.

A $619,521 resurfacing contract south of the SH-1 junction

The SH-48 job near Allen was defined from a point three miles south of SH-1, extending north for 2.730 miles. ODOT awarded the asphalt resurfacing contract to The Cummins Construction Co. on April 4, 2022, for $619,521.20, following the March 17 bid opening. For a paving crew working that corridor, a portable restroom trailer at the approved staging entrance could provide a bathroom stop without putting a trailer on the active shoulder. Its delivery and servicing would need to follow the contractor’s traffic arrangement. The award notice identifies the route, contractor and price; it leaves the eventual work dates to the construction record.

Five minutes on Allen’s north side before dawn

The March 4, 2025 tornado reached Allen before daylight. The National Weather Service recorded it from 5:25 to 5:30 a.m. Central Standard Time, with an EF1 rating and a 4.8-mile path. A mobile home, barn and trees were damaged near the beginning of the track southwest of town, followed by damage to homes and other buildings on Allen’s north side.

For repair teams working among damaged properties after a storm like this, a recovery-work restroom trailer belongs in a cleared staging space with a confirmed service route. That keeps the workers’ bathroom separate from buildings still being assessed. The weather record gives a maximum path width of 150 yards and lists no deaths or injuries for the Allen tornado.

The 2025 Annual Meeting festivities opened at Kullihoma

The opening celebration for the 2025 Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival was advertised at Kullihoma Grounds on September 26, from 7 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Social stickball and a stomp dance formed the evening’s program, which welcomed the public and all ages. Kullihoma has an Allen postal address on CR 3680; this gathering was at the cultural grounds, rather than in Allen’s town center. The venue includes a social stickball field, replicated traditional structures and RV hookups near the stomp grounds. Any additional event restroom trailer for an evening there should be placed with the organizers’ approval along the visitor approach, preserving space around the dance grounds and access for camping families.

A summer camp looked closely at Kullihoma’s habitats

Young Chickasaws explored Kullihoma’s natural habitats at an Environmental Camp featured in the July 15, 2025 edition of CNTV News. Participants learned to fish and encountered plants, animals and insects they might rarely see near their homes. The report also connected those experiences with careers as park rangers and environmental scientists.

A handwashing station near an outdoor teaching base would let a camp group wash after field activities without ending the session with a trip back to an indoor sink. The useful location is on the group’s regular return route, with water and servicing arranged before the program starts.

The grounds lie ten miles east of Ada and use an Allen mailing address. The broadcaster’s July date identifies its coverage of the camp, rather than an exact day on which all of the activities occurred.

Project planning questions

Allen workforce facility FAQs.

Can a crew stay near an Allen oilfield site?

Share the lease entrance or staging address, dates, occupancy, and utility details. We can review remote sleeper accommodation and supporting facilities for the assignment.

What if water or sewer service will be interrupted?

Tell us which connections will be offline and for how long. Portable bathrooms need water and wastewater arrangements that remain usable during the repair.

Can an event with permanent restrooms request extra facilities?

Yes. Send the event layout, expected attendance, hours, and service access so extra bathrooms or handwashing can be reviewed where people will gather.

Which address should I send for a site outside Allen?

Use the exact county-road entrance or map location and identify the county. Include any gate, bridge, or turning restrictions on the delivery route.

June’s reunion brought a different program to the grounds

Kullihoma appeared on the Chickasaw Nation’s 2026 calendar for Chikasha Ittafama, the Chickasaw Reunion, on June 5 and 6. For a two-day gathering spread across these cultural grounds, an extra restroom trailer would be most useful on a visitor route agreed with the organizers, where it can be serviced without crossing an activity area.

The Chickasaw Times’ May preview described cultural activities, demonstrations and games throughout the reunion. It located Kullihoma east of Ada; the venue’s published address is in the Allen postal area. This June reunion was a separate event from the Annual Meeting and Festival’s September opening celebration at the same grounds.

Allen prepared to host April’s baseball districts

Allen was preparing to host baseball districts on April 20–22, 2023, according to the high school principal’s report at the April 10 school board meeting. A event restroom trailer near an outdoor spectator entrance could support tournament days while leaving the playing and team areas clear. The servicing route would need to stay usable between games. The Allen Advocate’s April 13 issue published the hosting announcement and reported that the Mustangs’ baseball record stood at 9–13. Principal Steve Butcher delivered that update before the district games; the newspaper’s notice captures the school’s preparations rather than the eventual scores.
