The Glenn Pool discovery came in November 1905

Robert Galbreath and Frank Chesley struck oil on the Ida E. Glenn allotment on November 22, 1905, at a depth of 1,481 feet. The well helped launch a major oil boom in the region. For a future authorized field assessment, a contractor sleeper trailer could support a crew at a permitted base.

Twelve families formed the settlement called Glenn

By 1906, twelve families clustered in a settlement initially called Glenn. The rush began after the oil discovery, but transportation and commerce soon followed. If a future anniversary program draws visitors to an approved outdoor site, a portable restroom trailer could supplement existing facilities.

A railroad tied the new oil settlement to Jenks

In 1906, the Midland Valley Railroad built a line between Glenn and Jenks so oil could be shipped to outside markets. The line made transportation part of the field’s growth story. A future authorized rail-corridor crew could stay in a contractor sleeper trailer at an approved base rather than on the right-of-way.

The town took the name Glenpool in 1908

After lots were platted in 1907, the town was renamed Glenpool and received a post office on January 31, 1908. The name joined “Glenn” with the local oil pool. A future civic anniversary could interpret the town’s origin with a portable restroom trailer at an event site, apart from historic property.

Glenpool’s first school enrolled 250 children

By 1908, the new school district enrolled 250 children and was described as Oklahoma’s richest school district. Oil wealth had rapidly changed the scale of local institutions. A future school or alumni event might use a portable shower trailer for participants if the venue’s existing facilities are limited.

Telephone and telegraph firms joined Glenpool’s first businesses

By 1909–10, Glenpool had a bank, hotel, telephone and telegraph providers, restaurants, and stores. OHS estimated about five hundred residents. The list captures how an oil camp became a service town. At a future local-history fair, a portable handwashing station station could serve food vendors and visitors.

Rail service extended to Kiefer, then ended in 1936

The Midland Valley extended its Glenpool line to Kiefer in 1916, adding another oil-shipping point. Service from Glenpool to Jenks and Kiefer was abandoned on February 12, 1936. The changes reveal the rise and retreat of rail in the field’s logistics. A future history walk could offer a portable restroom trailer at its staging site.

Glenpool’s population fell to 280 by 1950

The 1920 census counted 428 people in Glenpool; by 1950, the number was 280. The population decline came even as the town retained links to oil. Those figures put the later suburban expansion in perspective. An outdoor historical program could plan a portable restroom trailer based on its actual audience, not these resident counts.

Project planning questions

Can you help plan a man camp near Glenpool?

Share the project address, workforce count, schedule, and the services your crew needs. EZE Trailer Rentals will review sleeper and supporting facility options for the location.

Which supporting facilities can be planned?

The focus is sleeper accommodation with supporting shower, restroom or bathroom, and laundry facilities. The mix depends on your workforce and site requirements.

Yes. Share how the units need to work together, along with placement, utility, delivery access, and servicing requirements. Final configuration and availability are confirmed for the project.

What information helps plan a project in Tulsa County?

A project address, crew size, rooming needs, dates, access and placement details, available utilities, and the supporting services you want to include.

A 1970s boom more than tripled Glenpool’s population

Glenpool grew from 770 residents in 1970 to 2,706 in 1980 as the 1970s oil boom unfolded. Later suburban growth continued, with 13,691 residents counted in 2020. The numbers mark different phases of development. If an approved future utility crew works on growth-related infrastructure, a contractor sleeper trailer could serve as temporary quarters.

Glenpool marked the oil strike’s centennial in 2005

On November 22, 2005, Glenpool celebrated one hundred years since the Glenn Pool discovery. OHS also describes Black Gold Days as a festival with a parade, concerts, carnival, and arts and crafts. A future festival could consider a portable restroom trailer for attendees if the approved event grounds need supplemental facilities.
