Duncan’s roads flooded during the April 2024 storms

Duncan Emergency Management reported flooded roads during the April 27, 2024 storms. The state situation update recorded roadway flooding in the city while other communities were reporting tornado damage. Water on transport routes creates its own practical obstacle for a response team.

restroom trailers at a dry maintenance yard could support a prolonged road or drainage repair assignment once access was restored. The unit would need to remain reachable by the crew and service vehicle as work moved between affected locations.

The Duncan entry was a report about roads, so the useful starting point for planning is the closure list and the work addresses. A support site that avoids the affected low spots can stay useful while drainage, pavement and roadside work are scheduled around the remaining restrictions.

Raising Duncan’s million-gallon water-tower bowl

Duncan’s new El Rancho Water Tower became much easier to see on June 2, 2025. Beginning at 8 a.m., workers lifted its bowl more than eighty feet and secured it to the pedestal, a process the city said took several hours. The million-gallon replacement stood beside the aging tower on the north side of town.

A lift needs clear working space beneath and around the suspended structure. For a tower contractor planning restroom trailers, that means selecting a crew facility location outside the lifting area before delivery, rather than moving it after the crane is positioned. Construction had begun in summer 2024 with the foundation and pedestal; the bowl lift was one visible stage in a longer water-infrastructure job. OWRB financing supported the project.

An overnight storm tore the roof from Red River Technology Center

The alarm at Red River Technology Center first looked like a fire call to its superintendent. When he reached the Duncan campus after the December 2022 storm, part of the roof was piled nearby. KSWO’s March 2023 retrospective reported that NWS considered the damage the result of straight-line winds. The storm also caused a fire that triggered the security system.

Roof work can leave a repair crew outside a building whose usual entrances are restricted. A separate restroom trailers setup gives a contractor a bathroom option without routing workers through the occupied or damaged interior. It would need a service approach clear of roofing deliveries and debris handling.

Firefighters had been leaving another nearby call when the alarm came, allowing them to reach the campus quickly, according to the superintendent’s account.

Halliburton Field rebuilt pavement and opened a route to future hangars

Airport work places an unusual constraint on restroom trailers: the service vehicle needs an approved route that does not stray into aircraft movements. At Halliburton Field in Duncan, a contractor’s landside compound would be the place to resolve that access before any temporary facility arrived.

The state’s September 2025 project account described rehabilitation of the main apron and a new hangar taxilane completed over the preceding two years. The taxilane reached land south of the terminal, opening nearly twelve acres for future hangars and aviation businesses. Together the works cost just under $2 million, with state and FAA grants providing most of the funding.

The completed pavement and access work prepared space for later development. The announcement separately described hangars, fuel-system work and runway strengthening as future improvements.

The Duncan Plaza alarm led to a fairgrounds shelter

Duncan Plaza Apartments’ fire had already gone out when firefighters entered, but the building still had to be evacuated. The city’s September 16, 2026 release described shutting off the suppression system to limit water damage and assisting residents who remained inside. Approximately 110 people were displaced; the initial account said about fifty-two were staying at an emergency shelter in the Stephens County Fair & Expo Center.

For any extended shelter operation, bathrooms and bathing have to be checked against the number of people actually staying. combined shower and restroom trailers can supplement an approved site when its existing facilities fall short, with connections and servicing agreed by the shelter managers.

The documented response used school and nursing-home buses to move residents, while others made arrangements with family. The fire’s cause remained under investigation in that release.

Cruisin’ the Chisholm Trail’s June 2025 Main Street layout

Main Street Duncan’s archived listing placed the 2025 Cruisin’ the Chisholm Trail Car & Motorcycle Show on June 7, from morning registration through afternoon awards. Those activities occupied different ends of the downtown display: check-in at Twelfth and Main, with awards at Ninth and Main. Food trucks, merchants, a children’s zone and music were included in the program. For an organizer adding restroom trailers to a street show, the vehicle display cannot be the only map. Visitors need a clear walking route to the facilities while exhibitors still need space to unload and depart. The advertised car and motorcycle best-in-show prizes were separate, reflecting two sets of entries sharing the same downtown streets.

Three states’ rodeo finalists gathered in Duncan in October 2024

The first night of the 2024 Prairie Circuit Finals opened at the Stephens County Fair Grounds on October 17. KSWO’s report from the event described vendors, food and a weekend program featuring more than a hundred contestants from Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. Performances were set to continue through Saturday, October 19.

A multi-night rodeo brings working schedules beyond the performance itself. If an organizer provides accommodation for arena personnel or visiting support crews, shower trailers can form part of that base, with water and waste servicing kept away from livestock and trailer circulation. The deciding issue is who stays on the grounds and what facilities they can already use.

Rodeo queens from the participating states also attended. Their flag-carrying duties were among the details in the local report, alongside the competition drawing spectators into the arena.

The 2025 county fair mixed livestock judging with handmade work

OSU Extension’s program for Duncan’s 118th Stephens County Free Fair began with exhibit entries on August 13, 2025. Thursday brought judging and livestock check-in, followed by a school day, Farmhand Olympics and more shows on Friday. The published schedule carried the fair through Saturday, August 16.

That staggered program gives an organizer several patterns of demand to consider when placing restroom trailers. Exhibitors arriving early and families staying for evening activities may approach from different parking areas; facilities need a clear pedestrian route that leaves livestock movements their own space. The program also invited residents to a quilt-block challenge judged by viewers. Its blocks were to become a sampler quilt for a later fair raffle, extending one part of the event beyond the show days.

Duncan’s 2024 fireworks plan included facilities before nightfall

Portable restrooms and a cooling tent were already part of Duncan’s published plan for the July 3, 2024 Red, White and Boom celebration. The city named Abe Raizen Park as the venue and scheduled an afternoon opening, food trucks and the Old 81 Band before the fireworks. restroom trailers are an option for an organizer seeking a trailer-based facility within that wider event plan; the city’s notice did not identify a supplier or trailer type. The announcement also designated parking areas and accessible parking, details that affect how people reach any facility after dark. Its weather fallback was July 5. The planned evening therefore depended on both a crowd layout and a workable alternative date.

Duncan’s 2023 meter rollout had to move street by street

By October 5, 2023, Duncan reported that 14.8 percent of its citywide replacement program of more than 13,500 water meters had been installed. KSWO published the city’s full update amid residents’ questions about bills. Ferguson Waterworks and Second Sight Systems were named in the installation work, which had begun that August.

A mobile installation crew may work across many addresses in one day. restroom trailers at a reachable staging yard can provide a fixed facility for that changing route, with its own servicing plan rather than relying on customers’ bathrooms.

The city also explained the transition between automated readings, estimates and manual readings, and described a future customer portal. Its October statement set a tentative early-2024 finish; that forecast is distinct from a later completion record.
