The work continued after Cache's evacuation orders ended

By August 30, 2026, evacuation orders and roadblocks had been lifted around the Railroad South Fire between Cache and Indiahoma. KSWO reported that power was back and shelters had closed, yet firefighters were still checking hot spots. Cache Fire was asking for drinking water, snacks, body wipes, and other supplies for its crews. Residents returning home did not mean the response team was finished. If an extended operation needs a separate place for firefighters to wash between assignments, a shower and restroom trailer can serve the support area outside the active fire perimeter, with water and wastewater service arranged for that location. The August report asked nonresidents to stay out while the mop-up continued.

Cache’s first town plat was rejected before the park was added

After the 1901 land lottery opened the Kiowa, Comanche, and Apache reservation to general settlement, a 55-block Cache plat was filed in August 1902 but not approved. A revised plan adding the required city park won approval at the end of 1909. That paper trail gives a future park restoration crew something specific to preserve; portable restroom trailer for a future park restoration crew could serve its field team if the city approves a worksite.

A 1902 Frisco rail line reached the future Cache townsite

Cache grew along the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway line between Lawton and Snyder, completed through the area in 1902. The town’s uncertain legal status slowed development even after the trains arrived. On a future rail-corridor survey, office sleeper trailer for a future corridor survey crew could give a small crew an office near its approved staging point, away from the active right of way.

Quanah Parker lived near Cache before the town developed

The City of Cache places Quanah Parker’s home two and a half miles northeast of town, before Cache itself took shape. The National Park Service describes Parker as a Comanche leader, statesman, rancher, and host whose Star House welcomed hungry families and important visitors. If descendants or preservation partners plan future fieldwork, office trailer for a future preservation field team could support their logistics at an approved location, with interpretation led by Comanche voices.

Wichita Mountains mineral prospects attracted early attention

In Cache’s early years, one of the area’s draws was the prospect of mineral mining in the nearby Wichita Mountains. The city history describes that interest alongside the community’s railway and land-title uncertainty. A future, separately authorized geological survey might use sleeper trailer for a future geological field crew for its crew, with the operator confirming access and environmental requirements first.

A 1924 electric high line opened gravel pits on West Cache Creek

The completion of an electric-service high line to Cache in 1924 allowed gravel pits to open along West Cache Creek, the city history says. Infrastructure and local geology combined to create a new trade. For a future aggregate-site repair, handwashing station for a future aggregate-site repair crew could supply handwashing at the contractor’s approved work area without placing equipment in the pit.

Gravel and sand became Cache’s principal outbound shipments

By the 1930s, gravel and sand led Cache’s outbound shipments, joined by coal, feed, cattle, lumber, and fuel oil. The mix shows how a small rail town served both extraction and agricultural markets. If a future public-works or materials job brings in a crew, restroom trailer for a future materials project crew could provide a nearby restroom after the property and access plan is confirmed.

Quanah Parker’s Star House was moved to Cache’s Eagle Park

The Star House was moved from the Parker homestead north of Cache to Eagle Park around 1958. The National Register record describes the house’s original location and move, while the National Park Service documents its significance as Quanah Parker’s home. A future stabilization crew could use restroom trailer for a future historic-property crew at an agreed staging site; placement would need to respect the historic property and descendant access.

Project planning questions

Cache workforce facility FAQs.

Can you help plan a man camp near Cache?

Send us the address, dates, and number of people staying. Tell us who will share sleeping space and which portable shower, bathroom, and laundry facilities you need. We'll discuss the available layouts with you.

Can I ask for a portable bathroom or shower on its own?

Tell us which facility you need and what is already available at the property. We can review a portable restroom trailer, mobile shower, or combined unit for the job.

How do I choose a portable sleeper layout?

Start with the rooming arrangements. A crew sharing bunk space has different needs from staff who need separate rooms. The model pages show photos and published details to help you compare.

What should I send before discussing delivery?

The address, preferred dates, crew size, and a description of the entrance and available space are useful. Include what you know about power, water, and wastewater connections so we can talk through placement.

Eagle Park closed in 1986 after operating as a local attraction

Eagle Park began as an amusement park with historic buildings, including the Star House, and closed in 1986 because of high operating costs. The structures remained on the site after the gates shut. A future conservation survey could bring a small crew back for documentation; office trailer for a future conservation survey could support that work only if the property owner and preservation partners approve access.

Cache counted 317 residents in the 1910 census

Cache’s population was 317 in 1910, just five more than the 1907 statehood-era count, according to the city’s historical account. The town grew gradually through the following decades before its larger postwar expansion. For a future utility or street project in the historic core, sleeper trailer for a future municipal project crew could be planned around the specific crew size and site access.
