Replacing a generation of turbines at Anadarko’s power plant

Western Farmers Electric Cooperative began construction of Roulet Units 12 and 13 at its Anadarko plant in late 2024. The cooperative describes replacing three older natural-gas units, totaling 74 megawatts, with approximately 100 megawatts of new generation. Its 2026 update gives expected completion in the second half of the year.

An extended plant assignment also brings ordinary needs away from the generating equipment. temporary laundry facilities at an approved crew support site can handle everyday clothing, towels and bedding during a longer stay. Workwear subject to plant-specific handling procedures would remain a separate matter.

WFEC says Roulet is its first capacity construction project at Anadarko since the Bob Orme combustion turbines were completed more than fifteen years earlier. The replacement therefore marks another generation of equipment at an established plant.

An August 2026 wildfire destroyed structures west of Anadarko

Four structures were lost in the grassfire west of Anadarko on August 14, 2026, according to city officials quoted by KSWO. One of the homes was occupied. Aircraft made drops while ground crews fought the fire, and the city manager identified First Baptist Church’s student center as a shelter location.

An emergency shelter can use portable shower facilities if its existing washing facilities cannot meet residents’ needs. That decision belongs with the actual shelter operator and available utility connections. KSWO’s update said the fire was contained, evacuated residents had returned, and crews would keep monitoring the area. It reported no injuries or deaths.

The October 2021 storm struck Anadarko by two different paths

Buildings near Oklahoma Avenue, Broadway and Main Street in Anadarko sustained wind damage on October 10, 2021, including a lost brick facade. A tornado from the same storm passed south of town, damaging an airport hangar.

A contractor restroom trailer can serve a downtown repair crew from an undamaged placement area, keeping its bathroom access outside a building being stabilized.

The National Weather Service separated the downtown wind damage from the tornado track. Trees, fences and power poles were also damaged near the concentrated in-town losses.

The May 2009 storm damaged homes, businesses and the courthouse

At least 230 homes and businesses were damaged when a tornado and its surrounding winds reached Anadarko on May 13, 2009. The courthouse lost part of its roof, while Country Club Road lay in an area of major residential damage. For a recovery crew staying through an extended repair assignment, sleeper accommodation would need a separate approved location with bathrooms and washing access. The National Weather Service estimated the combined tornado and rear-flank wind losses at $50 million. That figure covers both parts of the storm; it should not be described as the cost of the tornado alone.

Anadarko’s 2025 loan approval supported a larger water tank

A 250,000-gallon elevated tank was the central project behind Anadarko’s July 15, 2025 water-system loan approval. The Water Resources Board approved $1,454,850, including $800,000 in principal forgiveness. Its release said the southwestern part of the city relied on a 33,000-gallon standpipe.

For a tank construction crew, portable bathroom facilities can be located within the contractor’s site rather than depending on neighboring properties. Their own water and wastewater arrangements need to be established before the tank enters service.

The planned mixing system was intended to help address water age and pressure performance. The release confirms financing approval and the proposed improvements, rather than a completed tank.

Restroom reconstruction was part of the Greentech Center bid

The 2024 Greentech Center solicitation makes a direct case for considering temporary restroom trailers during construction: the existing men’s and women’s restrooms were themselves scheduled for remodeling. Delaware Nation Industries sought bids for the 240,000-square-foot facility at 1617 Industrial Road in Anadarko.

The scope included new fixtures, accessibility improvements, office and manufacturing-space work, fire-suppression upgrades and demolition of obsolete interior structures. Temporary bathroom placement would have to follow the occupied-building plan and the rooms taken out of service. The solicitation set a February 2026 completion requirement; that contractual target alone is not proof of completed work.

Delaware Nation converted a Broadway property for historic preservation

In late 2023, Delaware Nation reported that construction at 105 West Broadway in Anadarko was nearing completion. The renovated property was intended to house a museum, library, gift shop and upstairs preservation offices, beside the Nation’s cultural-preservation building at 103 West Broadway.

Building conversions are a practical setting for contractor bathroom facilities while interior services are being renewed. A unit reached from the contractor side of the property can keep workers from relying on the neighboring cultural offices.

A $990,000 ICDBG ARPA grant awarded in January 2022 supported the renovation. The Nation’s report said a grand opening would be announced after completion and exhibit setup.

Randlett Park hosted a festival of Bigfoot stories and local art

Calling contests, storytelling and art vendors brought visitors to Randlett Park for Delaware Nation’s Bigfoot Festival in October 2025. Organizer Evelyn Kionute estimated attendance above 500, with more than 30 food and art vendors, in KOSU’s report. A gathering with food stalls and children’s activities gives handwashing stations a clear place beside the eating area, where visitors can wash before handling a meal. The reported encounters were participants’ accounts, not findings establishing the creature’s existence. The documented event was a community festival organized by Delaware Nation’s cultural-preservation department.

The Southern Plains Indian Museum planned a careful 2022 reopening

The Southern Plains Indian Museum announced that it would reopen on March 1, 2022. Its plan included reduced capacity, masks, distancing, hand-sanitizing stations and additional cleaning.

For any accompanying outdoor welcome or visitor queue, portable handwashing facilities could add a place to wash hands without pulling people through exhibition rooms just to reach a sink. That would be an additional event arrangement, not a substitute for the museum’s announced policies. The Interior Department’s February release described free admission and a Tuesday-to-Friday schedule at reopening; those were the 2022 arrangements, rather than a current visitor timetable.

A 2026 museum contract targeted the Rosemary Ellison Gallery HVAC

The Southern Plains Indian Museum sought replacement of an inoperable HVAC unit in its Rosemary Ellison Gallery in 2026. The federal statement of work called for duct checks, airflow testing and humidity control in the approximately 1,600-square-foot gallery.

For the technicians, contractor restroom facilities could provide bathroom access outside the occupied museum while the curator coordinates work areas.

The document required clear driveways and emergency access, limits on contractor use of the premises and advance notice before work began in each area. It anticipated completion within sixty days of a notice to proceed. Those conditions describe the procurement’s work plan, not evidence that the installation met that timetable.
