Concrete work at Edmond’s Arcadia Lake treatment plant

Archer Western’s June 2024 update captured several jobs advancing together at Edmond’s Arcadia Lake Water Treatment Plant. Underground concrete for the high-lift pump station was about seventy percent complete. Slab pours and wall forming were progressing at the carbon-filter building.

The clearwell tanks had their concrete floors, walls and domes in place, with exterior coating still under way. At the recycle pump station, crews were excavating the lower wetwell before the next structural concrete work. Each structure was at a different stage.

That sequence matters to a contractor locating restroom trailers: a crew facility needs a place that stays reachable while concrete trucks serve the active pours. Its delivery and regular servicing would have to follow the working layout as those separate structures progressed.

Coffee Creek’s expansion involved a whole group of treatment buildings

November 2024 is the completion date in Oscar Renda Contracting’s record for Edmond’s Coffee Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility expansion. The contract covered a group of treatment structures, from aeration basins and clarifiers to a lift station, maintenance building, control building and yard piping. On an assignment drawing outside trades for an extended stay, man camp facilities can consolidate their accommodation and daily facilities at an approved property. The base would need its own water and waste arrangements, independent of the treatment processes under construction. Southland Holdings identifies Edmond as the owner and also lists headworks, a dewatering building and digesters among the expansion’s components.

East Edmond Library progressed from groundbreaking to interior work

East Edmond Library’s August 2024 groundbreaking began a joint-use development at 4701 East Fifteenth Street, involving the Metropolitan Library System, YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City and City of Edmond. The operator’s later progress report described interior painting, ceiling tiles and light fixtures. For trades working through that finishing stage, a construction restroom trailer in the builder’s compound provides an option without sending workers through rooms being prepared for their collection and furnishings.

The planned services include public technology, meeting spaces and drive-through pickup and returns. The project’s timeline places furnishing and adding books after construction, leaving another stage between the last building work and rooms ready for readers to use.

A steel column arrived from Claremore to anchor Edmond’s Eagle’s Nest

A forty-foot steel column traveled from Claremore to Edmond to anchor the Route 66 Eagle’s Nest at The Uncommon Ground Sculpture Park. The park’s September 23, 2025 announcement named Equus Metals as fabricator and Lingo Construction as installer. More steel pieces were still due to follow the column.

Road paving, parking and building work also remained in the park’s construction sequence. A contractor placing crew restroom facilities would need to account for both the oversized deliveries and the smaller daily movements of workers and servicing vehicles. Keeping that facility outside the lifting area matters before the next steel load arrives. The column installation gave the observation sculpture a visible center; it was one milestone on a site still being built.

KickingBird’s reopening added a restaurant as well as renewed golf facilities

A restaurant and a stop for food and drinks at the turn were among the additions when KickingBird Golf Club reopened. The Edmond Chamber’s September 1, 2023 account described a renovation two years in the making at the municipal course on East Danforth Road.

The Lookout added a food operation to the renewed golf facilities. If a kitchen’s permanent storage is unavailable during a venue handover, a refrigerated trailer offers a place for perishable stock while its power and temperatures are arranged for the food being held.

KickingBird recorded more than 7,400 rounds in its first thirty days back. That early activity gives the reopening a concrete scale, alongside the new restaurant and the work on the course itself.

Edmond’s sixth fire station was taking shape in spring 2025

Living-area drywall was still part of the job at Edmond’s sixth fire station in March 2025. The March 24 council presentation also described brickwork, roof underlayment and glass installation, with a summer opening expected. Staff said the station would support seven personnel and improve service in a growing part of Edmond. While builders were finishing those permanent quarters, a temporary restroom trailer could provide bathroom access in their own working area. Its servicing route would need to remain available as glass, roofing and other materials arrived. The presentation’s construction details show how much had to come together before the station could house the firefighters it was designed for.

Visiting lineworkers helped repair Edmond’s system after the October ice storm

Grand River Dam Authority crews worked on Edmond’s municipal distribution system after the October 2020 ice storm. GRDA’s December account included a photograph of a lineworker on a local pole and reported an American Public Power Association commendation for its restoration assistance.

Edmond was one of several public-power communities receiving help: GRDA also named Pawnee and Cushing. A visiting crew’s support arrangements need to follow its assigned repair area. Where a designated base lacks enough bathing capacity, portable shower trailers can provide somewhere to wash between shifts, using utilities confirmed at that property. The work on Edmond’s poles belongs to the documented mutual-aid response; the bathing arrangement is a planning option for such crews.

First Street’s artisans joined the wider downtown arts festival

The May 2–4, 2025 Downtown Edmond Arts Festival preview counted 159 artists from sixteen states. First Street had its own artisan section for leather, wood, resin and glass, alongside the wider downtown program of art, music and children’s activities.

Food trucks joined restaurants serving from their usual premises. For a vendor working at a temporary booth, handwashing stations can put washing close to food preparation without occupying the public queue. Water delivery and waste collection would need to fit that booth’s position.

The advertised shuttle ran between UCO parking and the festival every fifteen minutes. It gave visitors a way into the downtown streets while the booths, performances and food service occupied them—a pedestrian pattern for equipment deliveries to work around.

Cycle 66 moved its Edmond ride into July after a rain cancellation

Rain cancelled Cycle 66’s November 2024 ride, prompting a move to July 27, 2025. The new program started at seven in the morning and added an eighteen-mile tour to routes ranging from the one-mile children’s ride to sixty-six miles. Returning tour riders and the downtown criterium shared a finish line on Broadway, giving an organizer considering restroom trailers a specific gathering area to plan around. Facilities would need a pedestrian approach that stayed clear of the course. The published street closures began the preceding evening, so delivery timing also belonged in that plan. The route changes and shared finish brought different kinds of cycling into the same downtown event.

LibertyFest’s campus concert paired summer-band music with ice cream

UCO’s Summer Band was advertised to perform on the lawn between Mitchell Hall Theatre and the Lillard Administration Building on June 26, 2025. The LibertyFest concert would begin at 7:30 p.m. and fill an hour with marches, light classics and patriotic music.

Free ice cream was to follow. That serving area gives a handwashing station a practical place in an outdoor concert plan when the people handling food cannot conveniently use existing washing facilities. Its water supply and waste collection should be considered with the serving tables. UCO also encouraged listeners to bring blankets or chairs, making the lawn both the audience’s seating area and the route to the after-concert treat.
