Two women were rescued after a road flooded north of Bethany

At noon on June 26, 2007, the National Weather Service logged flash flooding at a site listed four miles north of Bethany. If another flood call brings firefighters back to the north-of-town roads, a portable restroom trailer for a flood-response crew on firm ground outside the rescue route would give them a stop between calls.

High water covered the road at Ski Island, and two women were rescued after driving into it. The report estimated about $5,000 in local property damage.

A 2003 tornado crossed Bethany on its way toward Warr Acres

On May 9, 2003, a tornado began inside Bethany near Glade Avenue and Northwest 38th Street, then tracked northeast past Northwest 50th and Rockwell toward Hammond Avenue and Northwest 59th Street in Warr Acres. The National Weather Service rated it F1 and recorded eight injuries along the path; the report describes tree and roof-shingle damage along the track.

The track ran across streets and neighborhoods before reaching Warr Acres. If another damage survey leads into block-by-block recovery, a shower and restroom trailer for storm-recovery teams at an approved off-street lot can keep cleanup crews close to the work.

The 2007 ice storm left a street-level mark at 36th and Council

At 4 a.m. on December 10, 2007, a National Weather Service employee reported between a quarter and a half inch of ice at 36th Street and Council Road in Bethany. If an ice-related repair keeps a line crew out overnight, a remote sleeper trailer for a winter utility crew on a cleared lot near Council Road could give workers a place to rotate off shift.

That observation puts the storm on a familiar city intersection rather than only in a countywide summary.

Rain and a failed drain undermined a water line at 23rd and Council

After heavy rain in July 2023, stormwater washed soil from beneath a water line at Northwest 23rd Street and Council Road, leaving the line unsupported. Bethany’s account to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board says the break also damaged storm-drain infrastructure; the board approved a $100,000 emergency grant toward the repair.

For a later water-main or drainage repair, a portable handwashing station for water-system contractors beside the work area would give pipe crews a clean place to wash up before handling tools or heading back to the shop.

The Landmark of Hope is rising beside Route 66

Bethany Children’s Health Center broke ground in May 2024 on its $178 million Landmark of Hope, a 200,000-square-foot outpatient center at Northwest 39th Expressway and Rockwell. A portable restroom trailer for a hospital construction site can be included in a later construction-phase plan for the trades, with the contractor staging area kept separate from patient and visitor entrances.

Its May 2026 construction update includes a time-lapse through April; the project page lists a spring 2027 opening.

Bethany completed a sidewalk and signal job on Route 66

The Northwest 39th Expressway project was pedestrian and signal work, not a highway widening. ODOT’s plan sets the limits from North Asbury Avenue east to North Donald Avenue over 0.284 mile, entirely within Bethany. The city’s May 2025 capital-improvement report marks the SH-66 signal and pedestrian work complete.

On another sidewalk phase, a portable restroom trailer for a pedestrian-work crew at an off-street staging lot would keep breaks near the crew while leaving the pedestrian path clear.

Bethany milk haulers made a seven-day farm-to-dairy run

In an oral-history interview recorded at Bethany Public Library in April 2009, Jerry Barton recalled that his father and uncles collected milk from nearby farmers in five-gallon cans and hauled it to a dairy for processing. A future dairy-equipment installation can stretch across several shifts; a mobile laundry trailer for a food-site crew would let installers wash work clothes at the site before heading home.

They returned the empty cans for the next day’s milking. The Oklahoma Historical Society describes Bethany’s early years as a rural town supported by surrounding farms.

Bethany has a geologic map; Lake Overholser has long-running gauge records

The Oklahoma Geological Survey lists a 1:24,000 geologic map of the Bethany quadrangle, covering Canadian and Oklahoma Counties and published in 1999. At Lake Overholser on Bethany’s western side, USGS has continuous station data from October 2007 and field measurements from May 2017 onward; the gauge operates in cooperation with Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust.

A field team checking a test well or shoreline can bring a portable handwashing station for field-monitoring visits to a land-side meeting point when no public washroom is nearby.

ODOT’s fiber plan maps the Greater Oklahoma City network

ODOT’s statewide intelligent-transportation plan describes more than 3,600 miles of fiber-optic network, drawing on public and private partners as well as cable the department built, owns, and maintains. A planned overnight cutover on the west side of the metro could use a mobile office and sleeper trailer for a fiber maintenance team to keep dispatch and rest space together near the route.

The plan includes Greater Oklahoma City maps and explains how the network carries field-device data to the traffic operations center.

Oklahoma County replaced a MacArthur Boulevard bridge near Deer Creek

In October 2018, state and county officials held a ribbon cutting for the newly replaced MacArthur Boulevard bridge south of Deer Creek. The county’s project plan identifies the bridge as a 1,651-foot crossing of Deer Creek north of Bethany; ODOT describes the work as a county bridge project intended to reduce flooding in the area.

A future repair at a rural crossing near Deer Creek could put a portable shower and restroom trailer for a county bridge crew at the signed work-zone base, with access routed around the detour.
