A Pennington Creek flood forced pipeline workers to move their trailers

In May 2019, a rise in Pennington Creek put work trailers and a camper at risk near Tishomingo. That report is a useful reminder about where a temporary camp sits in relation to a creek. For a future pipeline or flood-response assignment, a remote sleeper trailer for pipeline crews on higher ground and outside the access route would give a crew a place to sleep without repeating the riverside setup in the story.

The workers had been living beside the creek while building an 81-mile pipeline that crossed Bryan, Johnston and Carter counties. Johnston County’s emergency management director told KXII the creek had risen about 12 feet; one worker reached his trailer after water had climbed to its wheels.

A 12-mile EF1 tornado track began near Bee

The National Weather Service’s Johnston County record traces an EF1 tornado on April 19, 2025 from near Bee to a point two miles south of Coleman. Its listed path was 12 miles long and 300 yards wide. Storm assessors may have to cover several rural roads before they can report what is passable. If a future survey or cleanup is staged near Bee, a portable restroom trailer for storm assessment crews at an agreed roadside base would give the crew a nearby restroom while leaving the travel lane and damaged properties clear.

NOAA’s event record notes tree, roof and outbuilding damage along the path, but does not assign those reports to Bee itself.

Johnston County was included in the 2021 winter-storm declaration

After severe winter storms from February 8 through 20, 2021, FEMA made emergency protective measures available in all 77 Oklahoma counties, including Johnston. The National Weather Service also documents a separate December 2007 Oklahoma ice storm that damaged trees and power lines statewide and left more than 641,000 electric customers without power at its peak. Neither source gives a Bee-specific outage or line-repair count.

When ice slows a later repair job, a shower and restroom trailer for winter restoration crews at the utility’s chosen crew base could keep a shower and restroom close to the workday. The right location would depend on which roads and facilities are open at the time.

Storm damage to Tishomingo’s water-plant intake was repaired with an emergency line

In its June 2026 severe-weather update, Oklahoma Emergency Management said Tishomingo Water Plant’s intake piping had been damaged and that water service was restored using a new emergency water line. During a future repair at a water intake or pump site, a portable handwashing station for utility repair work near the crew’s work area would give technicians a place to wash up before they return to their vehicles or equipment.

The update does not say whether the damage involved an older or newer plant, or describe a system outage in Bee.

ODOT lists stone sources in Coleman and Mill Creek

Johnston County has several named aggregate sources on ODOT’s approved-materials list: AMRIZE’s Coleman Quarry, Heidelberg Materials Troy Granite in Mill Creek, and Martin Marietta’s Mill Creek Limestone and Granite sources. Martin Marietta describes its Mill Creek limestone quarry as producing stone products from riprap to manufactured sand. A quarry maintenance crew can come back to its vehicles carrying fine dust from the yard. A mobile laundry trailer for quarry maintenance crews at the operator’s designated base could give a multi-day crew a place to wash workwear instead of carrying it home each evening.

Separately, Oklahoma State University Extension lists hay testing for livestock among its Johnston County agriculture services.

ODOT advertised a 0.7-mile US-377 and SH-22 intersection project

At Tishomingo’s US-377 and SH-22 junction, ODOT put three alternatives for the existing wye before the public in 2024; a later project description called the roundabout option the most promising. In March 2026, ODOT advertised an intersection-modification contract for the Johnston County site. The proposal listed a 0.724-mile project and an estimated 350 calendar days; it is a bid document, not proof that the job was awarded or completed.

For work on a corridor project like this, a shower and restroom facilities for a highway project crew at an approved staging area off the traveled way could keep showers and restroom breaks away from the live intersection.

A federal solicitation sought pond-liner work at Tishomingo’s fish hatchery

The U.S. Pond work keeps crews outside the main facility for much of the day. For a future liner-replacement job, a portable restroom trailer for pond construction work placed at the contractor’s approved work entrance could spare repeated trips back into town for a restroom break.

Fish and Wildlife Service’s Tishomingo National Fish Hatchery is an aquaculture facility eight miles north of Tishomingo. In 2026, FWS solicited replacement pond liners there; the notice gave a September 24 proposal deadline and a contract performance period of October 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027. The notice does not establish that a contractor was selected or work has started.

USGS maintains a long-running Pennington Creek station near Reagan

The USGS monitoring station on Pennington Creek near Reagan is in Johnston County, northwest of Bee. Its record includes continuous data beginning in 2003 and older discrete samples from 1951 to 1959. A separate USGS study describes groundwater and geology in the Arbuckle-Simpson aquifer area, which includes parts of Johnston County. These are regional monitoring resources, not an off-grid survey at Bee.

If a future field campaign follows the creek station or aquifer sites for several days, a remote sleeper trailer for environmental field teams at an approved field base could let technicians rest closer to the sampling area between visits.

Project planning questions

Bee workforce facility FAQs.

Can you help plan a man camp near Bee?

Share the project address, workforce count, schedule, and the services your crew needs. EZE Trailer Rentals will review sleeper and supporting facility options for the location.

Which supporting facilities can be planned?

The focus is sleeper accommodation with supporting shower, restroom or bathroom, and laundry facilities. The mix depends on your workforce and site requirements.

Can the facilities be coordinated as one site plan?

Yes. Share how the units need to work together, along with placement, utility, delivery access, and servicing requirements. Final configuration and availability are confirmed for the project.

What information helps plan a project in Johnston County?

A project address, crew size, rooming needs, dates, access and placement details, available utilities, and the supporting services you want to include.

Chickasaw Nation said a fiber grant could reach nearly 3,000 people in Johnston County

In his October 2024 State of the Nation address, Chickasaw Governor Bill Anoatubby described a USDA partnership announced in July that could potentially bring broadband service to nearly 3,000 people in Johnston County using more than 500 miles of fiber. If a future part of the network build brings a splicing crew onto rural roads near Bee, a portable restroom trailer for a rural fiber crew at the permitted staging point could keep restroom stops close to the work without blocking the easement or access road.

The address describes a countywide opportunity; it does not name a Bee route or say construction has reached the community.

ODOT records show construction changes on Blue River Road’s Buzzard Creek bridge

A county bridge-and-approaches job on Blue River Road crossed Buzzard Creek 1.1 miles east of the US-377/SH-99 junction near Tishomingo. ODOT’s 2023 and 2024 commission packets list L&N Bridge on the Johnston County contract and record construction change orders; the contract amount was $933,599.77. The work is near Tishomingo, not at Bee, and the records do not describe watershed-stabilization work.

Bridge crews need a base that does not interfere with approaches or creek access. On a future county replacement job, a portable restroom trailer for a county bridge crew set back at the contractor’s approved staging area would give workers a restroom near the site and clear of the bridge work itself.
