A 2005 agreement named three Pittsburg County gas systems

An April 7, 2005 purchase agreement between Golden Gas Service and PetroQuest Energy listed three natural-gas gathering systems in Pittsburg County: Scipio, Wildhorse and Ashland. A multi-day repair far from town is the use case for a remote sleeper trailer for a gas-line crew: technicians can sleep close to the route instead of spending their rest break on the drive back.

It places them in three township-and-range areas and describes pipelines with related compression, meters and other facilities. The filing documents gas infrastructure in the county around Bache, but does not trace a line through town.

A proposed fiber plan names North and South Bache

Oklahoma’s ARPA-SLFRF proposed-project list includes North Bache and South Bache in Resonance Broadband’s southeast Oklahoma service area. Its entry describes 2,857 underserved locations across the project area and a proposed fiber network. If the proposal moves into construction, a portable restroom trailer for a fiber crew near a rural cable crew’s work area could keep restroom breaks from turning into repeated drives back to town.

The listing records a proposal; it does not establish that construction began or that service is now available.

April 2015 flooding washed out High Hill Road

The National Weather Service recorded flash flooding in Pittsburg County on April 13, 2015. Its report says High Hill Road washed out between Alderson and Bache roads; high water also closed Highway 63 between Bache Road and Haileyville.

Crews reopening that stretch would need room to stage on the approach; a portable restroom trailer for road repairs at the contractor’s entrance keeps restroom trips away from the blocked lane.

A 2019 tornado developed beside South Bache Road

The National Weather Service traced an EF2 tornado through Pittsburg County on April 30, 2019. It formed just east of South Bache Road, south of Ray Road, then moved northeast, damaging homes and barns and snapping trees before reaching Highway 63 and Haileyville. After a storm cuts across roads and utility lines, a portable restroom trailer for storm cleanup at a safe crew access point can keep cleanup workers close to the affected corridor.

The survey also records damage to an electrical substation and snapped power poles.

Ice left thousands of Pittsburg County customers without power

During the January 2007 ice storm, Kiamichi Electric Cooperative reported about 2,000 outages in Pittsburg County, primarily around McAlester. When ice keeps line crews clearing limbs across rural roads after dark, a remote sleeper trailer for utility crews near the restoration area lets technicians sleep before the next shift instead of spending their rest period on the drive back.

State emergency managers said crews were clearing ice-laden limbs from lines after ice accumulations of roughly one-half to one inch.

A 2026 water outage kept Adamson RWD No. 8 under a boil order

On August 11, 2026, Adamson Rural Water District No. 8 told customers that the Pittsburg County Water Authority was shutting water off to conserve supply while the plant refilled its towers; the district also issued a precautionary boil order for all its customers. Updates over the next few days described temporary daily shutoffs, a repaired leak, and pressure returning as lines and towers refilled. By August 14 the district had begun flushing the system and sending water samples to a lab, while the boil order remained in place. Census places Bache’s internal point inside the OWRB’s approximate mapped service area for Adamson RWD No. 8.

At a staffed water pickup during a future interruption, a portable restroom trailer for a water-distribution site at the approved public access would give volunteers a nearby facility without sending them away from the distribution point.

A USGS sampling site sat on Peaceable Creek south of Bache

A U.S. A modern team returning to this county-road bridge would need to keep its cleanup gear back from the bank; a portable handwashing station for field sampling at a set-back staging spot gives the crew a place to wash up.

Geological Survey report covers stream data collected across southeastern Oklahoma’s coal area from 1978 to 1982. One Pittsburg County site was on Peaceable Creek at a county-road bridge 3.3 miles south of Bache. The study compiled streamflow and surface-water quality measurements to examine how coal surface mining could affect the region’s streams.

Crews grouted mine voids beneath U.S. 270 near Alderson

In December 2009, the Oklahoma Conservation Commission and ODOT were responding to abandoned-mine voids that had caused sections of U.S. 270 near Alderson to sink. The agencies described drilling from the roadway and pumping concrete grout into the voids to support a 1,080-foot stretch inside Alderson; the state set an $800,000 federal budget and anticipated completion in early 2010.

Drilling and grout work leave crews handling dusty material beside a live road. At a similar repair, a portable handwashing station for highway repair work on the support pad gives workers a place to wash up without stepping into traffic.

A project address, crew size, rooming needs, dates, access and placement details, available utilities, and the supporting services you want to include.

A hay-field subsidence emergency near Kiowa went to reclamation bids

In October 2019, the Oklahoma Conservation Commission ratified an abandoned-coal-mine emergency for multiple subsidence areas in a hay field near Kiowa, in Pittsburg County. Out on a subsidence field, the access point is a more useful anchor than the nearest town block. A portable restroom trailer for mine-land reclamation set there would keep a facility near the remediation crew and clear of equipment routes.

Staff told the commission that reclamation bids had been collected and the low bid at that point was $55,000; the meeting record does not say the work was finished.

ODOT opened bids for a county bridge 2.2 miles east of Bache

A November 2007 ODOT bid document lists a Pittsburg County bridge-and-approaches project over an unnamed creek about 2.2 miles east of Bache. The project was advertised under JP 2108704; the document records the bid opening and bidder names, but does not establish which contractor won or whether construction followed.

A bridge replacement moves workers and equipment between the approaches; the contractor’s pull-off is a better place for a portable restroom trailer for a county bridge project than the creek bank or traffic lane.
